I’ve been a PA in Orthopedics for nearly 20 years and spent the majority of my time in Chicago. I am honored to have my first mission trip be with Operation walk. I look forward to helping be part of a team that restores mobility, hope and a new future for the people we care for in Honduras.
I grew up and currently live in Panama City. We had a category 5 hurricane devastate my town in October of 2018. It has been a challenge to practice medicine during the destruction and now the rebuilding phase. Many people are still without homes and living in campers or tents. However, through the adversity the human spirit is strong, and resilient. People helping each other and lending a hand for labor or food. For myself, I have a different sense of gratitude, hope and inspiration after living through this. Being a small part that contributes to putting a smile on
someone’s face is magical. I look forward to new smiles in Honduras.
